Terms of Sale
Last updated: 18 October 2026
1. General provisions
These Terms of Sale (the “Terms”) are the public offer of the online jewellery store Rangiferra at rangiferra.com/ae (the “Seller”, the “Store”) to sell goods at a distance to customers in the United Arab Emirates on the conditions set out below.
By placing an Order as described in section 3 you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree with them, please do not place an Order.
The Seller may change these Terms. Changes take effect when the new version is published on this page and do not apply to Orders placed before that: an Order is governed by the version in force at the moment it was placed.
2. Definitions
- Goods — jewellery (rings, earrings, chains, bracelets and similar items) presented in the Store’s catalogue.
- Customer — an individual aged 18 or over who places an Order for personal use with delivery in the United Arab Emirates.
- Order — a request to buy Goods submitted through the form on the Store’s website.
- Size — the size the Customer selects on the product page: the inner diameter in millimetres for rings, the length in centimetres for bracelets and chains. The Customer may also place an Order marked “I don’t know my size”.
3. How the contract is concluded
When placing an Order, the Customer confirms that they have read and agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy, and that they understand the piece is bought for their Order and delivery takes 14 to 21 days. An Order cannot be placed without this confirmation.
No prepayment is required. The Customer pays neither the price nor any deposit when placing an Order.
The contract is concluded at the moment the Order is placed: the Customer then sees the Order number and total on the website. There is no confirmation call.
The Customer chooses the Size using the size guide on the product page. If the Order is marked “I don’t know my size”, the Seller contacts the Customer by messenger at the phone number provided, helps to determine the Size and starts buying the piece only after the Size has been agreed.
The Customer may cancel the Order without giving any reason and at no cost at any time until the Seller has bought the piece from the supplier, by notifying the Seller using the contacts in section 11.
The Seller may decline an Order, in particular if the Goods are not available from the supplier, if the website contains a technical error in the description or price, or if the contact details given by the Customer are invalid. The Seller informs the Customer of this.
4. Goods and price
The name, description and characteristics of the Goods (metal, fineness, weight, size) are stated on the product page in the catalogue.
Diamonds in the Seller’s pieces are laboratory-grown, not mined. This is stated in the catalogue and on the “How it works” page; the Seller does not present laboratory-grown stones as mined.
The base price of the Goods is set in euros, because the Goods are bought from the Seller’s suppliers. The catalogue shows the price in UAE dirhams (AED), converted from euros at the official exchange rate published by the Central Bank of the UAE.
The amount payable is stated in AED. It is calculated at the moment the Order is placed, fixed in the Order and does not change until delivery, even if the exchange rate changes. Until an Order is placed, the Seller may change catalogue prices.
5. Payment
Payment is made on delivery: the Customer pays the courier the AED amount fixed in the Order. The Customer may inspect the parcel before paying.
The Seller does not ask the Customer to pay anything on delivery beyond the amount fixed in the Order.
The Store offers no other payment methods: card payments on the website are not accepted, and neither prepayment nor instalments are offered. The Seller does not collect, process or store the Customer’s bank card details.
6. Delivery
Delivery is made by courier to the address the Customer provides, anywhere in the United Arab Emirates.
The Goods are not held in stock: each piece is bought from the supplier after the Order is placed. Delivery takes 14 to 21 days from the Order and is an estimate — it depends on the supplier’s availability, international shipping and the courier.
Before dispatch, the Seller sends the Customer a video of the exact piece that will be delivered to them.
Ownership of and risk in the Goods pass to the Customer when the Customer receives the Goods and pays for them.
7. Quality and warranty
The Seller guarantees that the Goods correspond to the description on the product page at the moment they are handed over to the Customer.
Any warranty on a specific item is stated on its product page or in the documents supplied with it. This does not limit the Customer’s rights regarding defective Goods under section 8 and the applicable consumer protection law.
8. Returns and exchanges
Jewellery is made to the Customer’s Size and bought individually for each Order, so Goods of proper quality that match their description are not accepted for return or exchange once received and paid for. This is why every product page has a size guide and help with choosing the Size before ordering, and why the Seller sends a video of the piece before dispatch: both steps exist so that the Customer can decide before delivery, not after it.
The Customer may refuse the parcel on delivery, without paying, if the Goods are damaged or do not match the Order.
This does not limit the Customer’s rights regarding Goods that are defective or do not match their description. In that case the Customer may contact the Seller using the contacts in section 11 and request, at their choice, repair, replacement, or a refund of the amount paid, as provided by Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection and its executive regulations.
9. Rights and obligations
The Seller shall: hand over Goods of proper quality in accordance with the Order; give accurate information about the Goods, including the origin of the stones; keep the Customer informed about the Order; protect the Customer’s personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
The Seller may: decline an Order in the cases set out in section 3; engage third parties (couriers, suppliers) to perform the contract.
The Customer shall: provide accurate details when placing an Order, including the correct Size or a note that they do not know it; accept and pay for the Goods ordered.
The Customer may: receive full information about the Goods before ordering; cancel the Order without giving a reason until the piece has been bought from the supplier; inspect the parcel before paying.
10. Liability and force majeure
The Seller is not liable for delivery delays caused by the courier or customs authorities, or for damage to the Goods after the Customer has received them.
The Seller is not liable for minor differences in colour, shade of a stone or texture between the Goods and the images on the website caused by photography or the Customer’s screen settings, provided that the characteristics of the Goods (metal, fineness, weight, size) match the catalogue.
Neither party is liable for failure to perform its obligations caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control that arose after the contract was concluded, including military action, decisions of public authorities and suspension of international transport.
